Step 1: Determine the fan voltage

General cooling fan voltage: 12V,24V,48V, after the voltage is determined to determine their own need is AC fan, DC DC fan, or EC fan, each type of characteristics and advantages and disadvantages are as follows:

AC fan: Feature: Metal loose frame

Advantages: No adapter, strong surge resistance, cheap unit price.

Disadvantages: The fan rotation range is small, and cannot be adjusted, no RD and FG signals, and blocked rotation protection.

DC fan: Feature: Injection molding frame

Advantages: safe voltage, installation size and speed range more selective, adjustable speed, RD and FG signal optional, blocked rotation and other protection.

Disadvantages: High speed and high noise

EC Fan: Features: AC/DC power supply, injection molding frame

Advantages: Can do full electric voltage, can do speed regulation, can do RD/FG, wide speed range, plug protection.

Disadvantages: weak surge resistance, high unit price

Step 2: Determine the appropriate fan type

Optional fan types: cross flow, axial flow, centrifuge, blower

Cross-flow cooling fan features; Large air volume, small wind pressure

Axial fan features: The inlet and outlet air are in the same direction

Centrifugal fan features: inlet and outlet wind 90 degrees, large air volume, high wind pressure

Blower features: inlet and outlet wind 90 degrees, small air volume, high wind pressure

Step 3: Confirm the air volume and pressure

Reference value: action point, static value, PQ curve, speed, noise, current

Step 4: Determine the basic fan model parameters

Basic parameters; Make, model, size, voltage, current, speed, air volume, wind pressure, Noise

Step 5: Confirm the fan bearing and IP protection level

Bearing type: oil bearing, hydraulic bearing, ball bearing

Bearing life: oil bearing: 30000H/25 degrees

Hydraulic bearing: 30000H/40 degrees

Ball bearing: 50000H/40 degrees

IP protection level :IP55: anti-paint can meet, can be waterproof splash, IP67: can prevent rain and water column IP68: can work in rain

Step 6: Confirm functionality and installation

Fan function selection: FG speed measurement function, RD alarm function, PWM speed regulation function, self-start function

Cooling fan installation; Fan frame, lead, terminal, line sequence

Fan frame: through hole lock screw must be selected, there is a fan frame with a column.

Lead: The lead has branch line, parallel line, twisted line, default branch line, line length default box outside the terminal.

Terminal; Common terminal type: HX2.54, PH2.0,2510, aircraft first class.
