General Electric Fanuc/VMIC VMIVME-7453 is designed to be compatible with VMIC’s VMEbus PC/AT, Pentium, and Pentium Pro processor board series interfaces. These CPU boards integrate floppy disks and IDE controllers on the board. The connection to the CPU board is through a flat cable protruding from the front panel of the board, directly connected to the CPU board without using any P2 pins.
The two compatible CPU boards are VMIVME-7588 and VMIVME-7686.
The VME single board computer based on General Electric Fanuc/VMIC xbv 602 Intel Core i7 adopts Intel’s highly integrated Core i7 processor platform. The Core i7 provides integrated graphics cards and memory controllers, as well as dual core processing power up to 2.53 GHz. Combined with the mobile Intel QM57 high-speed chipset, this provides unparalleled I/O bandwidth for both onboard and non onboard functions.
XVB602 provides two onboard mezzanine expansion sites to enhance system flexibility, one supporting PMC/XMC and the other only supporting PMC. XVB602 provides board to board connectors for the exp 237 XMC/PMC carrier/IO expansion board, further providing customer defined I/O functionality and offering customers three additional PCI-X XMC/PMC expansion sites.
GE Fanuc/VMIC VMIVME-7486 is a 100% PC/AT compatible processor board on the VME bus. VMIVME-7486 is equipped with a coprocessor and an 8 KB quad group associated on-chip cache, with Super VGA 1024 x 768 non interlaced scanning resolution and onboard 1 MB video DRAM. VMIVME-7486 also includes a parallel centronics port, two serial RS-232C ports, a PC/AT keyboard interface, a real-time clock with onboard battery, and an onboard floppy disk and IDE controller.
VMIVME-7486 adopts custom gate array technology, providing complete VME bus functionality as well as interrupt handling programs, interrupters, and system controllers. VMIVME-7486 allows access to all VME bus memory in real mode or protected mode, and comes with three-way byte switching hardware for small end and large end type interfaces. VMIVME-7486 supports both DOS and Windows operating systems.
Product series: VMIVME-7486, VMIVME7486, VMIVME7486, VME-7486, VME 7486, VME 7486, VMIVME-7450, VMIVME7450, VMIVME7450, VME-7450, VME 7450, VME 7450
The board can also record sequence of events (SOEs). In this mode, when any channel undergoes a specified state change, the previous states of all 32 channels are stored in the FIFO, followed by the current state. In addition, the counter values for increasing/decreasing input from the front panel counter are stored in a separate FIFO to provide optional timestamps for SOE. Counter function is also provided in COS mode.
