VMIVME-5521
Features:
User selectable configuration
VMEbus interrupt converted to ISA interrupt
80386SX or higher ISA bus processor with full access to VMEbus resources
Four independent 512K VME windows provide flexibility
The VMIC/General Electric Fanuc VMIVME-5521/VMIATX-5521 ISA bus to VMEbus link module is a high-performance and easy-to-use method that connects the ISA bus to the VMEbus chassis through cables and a pair of adapter boards. This module provides A32, A24, and A16 VMEbus addressing within four independent “windows” within the ISA memory addressing space. This link can transmit data of 16 bit and 8 bit sizes, and supports non aligned transmission. Each of the seven possible VMEbus interrupts can also be assigned to one of the four ISA interrupts. All transfers are performed as ISA memory operations, therefore DMA transfers are not supported.
48 bit TTL I/O
Unidirectional 8-bit and 16 bit
Bidirectional 8-bit and 16 bit
Double buffered I/O mode
Status/Interrupt Input
Two 24 bit programmable timers
VMIC/General Electric Fanuc VMIVME-2511 uses two Motorola MC68230 parallel interfaces/timers (PI/Ts) and one MC68153 bus interrupt module (BIM) to support all circuit board functions.
VMIVME-2511 can handle four interrupt requests. Each PI/T module can handle two requests: a port interrupt request and a timer interrupt request. Four interrupt request signals (two from PI/T No.1 and two from PI/T No.2) are connected to the BIM to provide full interrupt support for both PI/T modules. Each PI/T module has two user programmable on-chip interrupt vector registers.
