The RPBA-01 PROFIBUS DP adapter module is a key optional device for ABB transmission units, which can connect the transmission units to a PROFIBUS network. On the PROFIBUS network, the drive unit is considered a slave device.
This module supports PROFIBUS DP-V0 and DP-V1 communication, and automatically detects the type of message used, supporting PPO messages 1 to 6. In addition, it also supports PROFIdrive and ABB frequency converter configuration files to ensure smooth communication with various devices and systems.
The RPBA-01 module has a very powerful function. It can send control commands (such as start, stop, allow operation, etc.) to the transmission unit, send speed or torque given signals to the transmission unit, send a process actual value or a process given signal to the PID regulator of the transmission unit, read status signals and actual values from the transmission unit, change transmission parameter values, and perform fault reset on the transmission unit.
