The Emerson/Motorola MVME1603/MVME1604 series single board computers (SBCs) are dual high VME modules equipped with PowerPC series microprocessors. MVME1603 is equipped with a PowerPC 603 microprocessor; MVME1604 has a PowerPC 604 microprocessor.

The MVME1603/MVME1604 series has two parallel branches based on two different versions of substrates (MVME1600-001 and MVME1600-011). The main difference between MVME1600-001 and MVME1600-011 lies in the aspect of I/O processing; The logical design of the two versions is the same.
