IC697RCM711 is a redundant communication module (RCM). It is part of the 90-70 series programmable logic controller (PLC) series, with a high-speed parallel bus expansion interface, specifically designed for hot standby and enhanced hot standby CPU redundancy configurations. This module provides synchronization paths and I/O update paths between partner CPUs, helping to quickly update and transfer CPU control without interference in the event of a switch. IC697RCM711 is a part of a redundant system, typically composed of hot standby series 90-70 controllers, such as the IC697CPU780, IC697CGR772, and IC697CGR735 bus transmitter modules with catalog number IC697BEM713, as well as bus terminal plugs with catalog number IC697ACC702.
