IC693CHS392 is an expansion substrate compatible with the 90-30 series platform. This hardware allows for the interconnection of additional substrates carrying 90-30 series modules to maximize the capacity of the central controller and meet the control requirements of the system, especially to accommodate a larger number of I/O points and achieve special functions. IC693CHS392 was previously manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation and is now being acquired by Emerson Automation. This substrate provides ten (10) installation slots and can accommodate up to ten 90-30 series standard I/O modules and optional modules. This substrate is compatible with CPUs 331, 340, and 341, and can interconnect up to four (4) substrates. CPU 350 and higher versions can install up to seven (7) substrates. When interconnecting the substrate with the CPU substrate, the maximum cable length should not exceed 50 feet or 15 meters. Otherwise, the CPU cannot recognize the expansion substrate or the entire configuration is invalid. In addition, the installation of intelligent modules (such as PCM, ADC, BEM330, and CMM modules) is not compatible with the expansion substrate. These modules are installed on the CPU substrate.
