ProLinx EtherNet/IP to Modbus Master/Slave Gateway creates a powerful connection between Modbus devices on an Ethernet/IP network. This independent din rail installation protocol gateway provides one Ethernet port and up to four serial ports. The Ethernet/IP protocol driver supports the implementation of explicit messaging protocols. Users can configure both as clients and as a server, and Ethernet/IP ports are a very powerful data transmission tool.
The Modbus protocol driver supports the implementation of Master and Slave protocols. All Modbus serial ports are individually configurable, providing a very powerful and flexible host or device interface solution. Ethernet/IP Ethernet/IP protocol is one of the main tools for connecting networks, different from Rockwell Automation platform. The part of the explicit messaging protocol (only) has been implemented in ProLinx to provide Rockwell automation hardware for data transmission links between ProLinx units.
